We're back from an incredible trip to Italy!

Saw beautiful Palladian architecture, strolled through Venice, chatted with locals over an Aperol spritz at a Chinese pizzeria (yup), dipped our toes in a Sirmione hot spring, sipped Grappa (Italian moonshine), even went birthday bowling with the girlies (my favorite nieces)!

Getting inspired by all of the fantastic wood, stone and iron elements crafted around us!  Italian architect, Andrea Palladio, built much of Vicenza out of concrete (one of our favorite mediums, and unheard of for his time), and faced it all with a veneer of marble. His buildings have the rich look of the stone and marble structures in Rome, but were much less expensive to create.
