Tally-ho! Add a touch of equine chic to your home, office or tack room with my English Equestrian Boot Lamp. A handsome riding boot stands on wooden base framed with hand-tacked buffalo leather. Wooden knob at the top of the boot gives it an authentic feel of a vintage boot tree. An English spur caps the boot heel, and is secured with a leather strap. The lampshade is a vintage velvet English riding helmet, outfitted with hardware on the inside to snap onto an LED light bulb (light bulb is included).
Perfect for the horse lover or any appreciator of classic English hunter style!
Please note, this lamp was created from reclaimed/upcycled tack. The velvet on the riding helmet is in lovely (like new) condition.
The boot is a synthetic black leather, which I have stained and waxed to restore its original sheen, and remove superficial wear and light scratches from it's previous owner.
Also, the boot and helmet are riding gear first, and recycled lamp supplies second, meaning they were designed to be worn as clothing. I've taken creative liberty to use them in the design of this piece. The boot is fastened securely to the base and stands upright on its own, but the material is still soft and a slightly "bendy"; around the lamp pole, but I assure you that it is quite secure and stands up beautifully. When handling or moving the lamp, I recommend holding it only by the top wooden knob and bottom of the base.
